"Baby Driver" Teen Star Hudson Meek Dies After Tragic Accident

Hudson Meek, known for his role as the young version of the main character in the 2017 film Baby Driver, tragically passed away at the age of 16. The accident occurred on December 19 when Meek fell from a moving vehicle in Vestavia Hills, a suburb of Birmingham. He sustained severe injuries and died two days later in the hospital, according to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.

The Vestavia Hills Police Department is investigating the incident. No further details about the cause of the accident have been made public.

Family Statement

A post on Meek’s Instagram account shared the heartbreaking news:
"Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight. His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met."

The post also announced that a Celebration of Life will be held on December 28, and contributions to a scholarship in Meek’s memory at Vestavia Hills High School were encouraged.
