Hyundai Launches 2024 Alcazar SUV in India Starting at Rs. 14.99 Lakh
Hyundai has introduced the refreshed 2024 Alcazar SUV in India, with prices starting from Rs. 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the petrol variants and Rs. 15.99 lakh for the diesel variants. This mid-life update brings the Alcazar in line with Hyundai’s latest design language and feature set, borrowing heavily from the Hyundai Creta.
Design Enhancements
The 2024 Alcazar receives a notable facelift with updates to the front grille, headlamps, and alloy wheels, along with Hyundai’s new connected taillamps at the rear. While the overall silhouette remains consistent with the outgoing model, the changes add a sense of novelty and modern flair. Hyundai is offering the Alcazar in eight exterior colors, including Ranger Khaki, Robust Emerald Pearl, and Starry Night.
Updated Cabin Features
The Alcazar’s cabin has been upgraded with several premium features, including bigger dual digital displays, ventilated rear seats, and a panoramic sunroof. Additionally, the SUV now features dual-zone climate control and Level 2 ADAS, improving both comfort and safety. The six-seat and seven-seat configurations remain unchanged, catering to both large families and smaller groups.
Powertrain Choices
Under the hood, the Alcazar offers two engine options: a 1.5-litre GDi turbo petrol engine producing 158bhp/253Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel engine with 113bhp/250Nm. Transmission choices include a six-speed manual and seven-speed DCT for the petrol variant, while the diesel is paired with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic.
Rivals in the Segment
The Hyundai Alcazar competes against the likes of the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Mahindra XUV700, all of which offer three-row seating and a variety of features. The competition in this segment is fierce, with each model targeting buyers looking for a mix of luxury, space, and performance.
